ESCALADEI CARTHUSIAN MONASTERY

This was the first Carthusian monastery founded on the Iberian Peninsula and hence, its great importance. It was declared an historic-artistic monument and dates back to the 12th century. Presently, the church has been preserved, which was expanded during the 18th century.

SANT MIQUEL d'ESCORNALBOU CASTLE MONASTERY

Located on the side of the municipality of Riudecanyes in the direction of Vilanova d'Escornalbou. The most noteworthy elements are the church and the remains of the ecclesiastical hall and the cloister.

SANTA COLOMA DE QUERALT CASTLE

The Santa Coloma de Queralt Castle was home of the Queralt Barons at Medieval Ages. One of the wealthiest Catalan family.

THE EPLUGA DE FRANCOLÍ

Its name, from the Latin spelunca meaning cove, has its origin in the numerous caves or esplugues that are scattered throughout the area. The Font Major cave, the Rural Life Museum, the Wine Museum in the Modernist Cellar and Poblet only stes away all represent the charm of a village where industry , business and agriculture live side by side with tourism, craftsmen and gastronomy.

MONTBLANC

Montblanc was founded in the 12th century as a royal villa for King Alfons I. The monumental heritage of Montblanc is undoubtedly its m ain attraction, proof of this being that the site was named as Monumental and Artistic Heritage in 1947. its most emblematic construction is the medieval wall (14th century), which is the most well-preserved in all of Catalonia, comprised of 30 towers and several portals. Meriting mention are a series of religious, military and civil buildings that offer an idea of the importance that Montblanc acquired during the Middle Ages.

MONT-ROIG. HERMITAGE OF THE MARE DE DÉU DE LA ROCA. ROUTE OF MIRÓ

The Mother of God and Rock hermitage is a grandiose hermitage located on a hillock surrounded by red-coloured stone in the municipality of Mont-roig del Camp. Many of the villages of the Costa Daurada can be seen from this gorgeous vantage point. As the name suggests, this itinerary is based on the prestigious painter Joan Miró, who had a very special connection with the town of Mont-roig del Camp. By following the route, you will take a journey around the place and monuments that the artist has depicted in many of his works.

COSTA DAURADA'S MOUNTAINS

The Costa Daurada is the sea, but it is also mountains. The mountainous region of the Costa Daurada offers a host of attractions for family, adventure, cultural or food tourism.  Hiking, mountain bike and touring routes, lovely landscapes, traditional cuisine, ancestral festivals, hermitages, churches, exceptional lookout points and much more.

DELTA DE L'EBRE NATURAL PARK

This is a Natural Park of great interest, as it is the largest wetlands on Catalan lands and nesting place of over three hundred different species of birds. The Park is the most important aquatic habitat in the western Mediterranean after the French region of Camargue and the second-largest in Spain. The ideal starting point to start your visit is the municipality of Deltebre, where visitors will find detailed information about the park. There are also boats for hire or take tours as part of a group.

PORTS OF TORTOSA-BESEIT NATURAL PARK

The Ports Massif is located in a transitional region between the Catalan Mediterranean System and the Iberian System. The massif is a calcareous relief of striking complexity and elevated heights. SARRAL

Sarral is a picturesque village with many different Gothic, Plateresque and Romanic buildings, as well the ruins of a medieval castle. There are many different industries centred on alabaster in this town. You can  visit the workshops and see firsthand how this material is worked with.
